RESIPOX W Kit
RESIPOX W Kit - is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
RESIPOX W is BEAL's water-based epoxy primer for damp substrates. It blocks rising moisture in the slab so you can apply MORTEX microcement or BEALSTONE terrazzo over surfaces that would otherwise be too damp to coat. It also works as an adhesion primer over polished tile and natural stone.
Use it on
- Sand-cement screeds and industrial concrete with high residual moisture
- Polished tile, natural stone, terrazzo and polished slabs (after diamond sanding)
- Dry substrates where you need extra adhesion: aluminium, galvanized steel, wood, boards and insulation panels
What's in the kit
- Part A: water-based epoxy resin (white)
- Part B: hardener (black)
- Part C: accelerator powder, used only below 12 °C
- Quartz: for broadcasting into the wet primer
How it goes on
- Substrate must be sound (pull-off strength over 1 MPa), clean and free of dust, grease and wax. Diamond-sand tile and stone.
- Mix A + B with a drill mixer on low speed. Add C if the room or substrate is below 12 °C.
- Roll on with a short-nap roller at about 300 g/m².
- After 4–5 minutes, broadcast quartz into the wet primer (about 0.8 kg/m²).
- Once cured, vacuum off the loose quartz before applying MORTEX or BEALSTONE.
Specs
- Application temperature: 4 °C to 35 °C
- Pot life: 50 min (A+B), 25 min with accelerator
- Adhesion to concrete: 3.0 MPa (EN 1542)
- Shelf life: 24 months sealed. Store between 5 °C and 35 °C.
- Clean tools with water while fresh.
Frost sensitive. Ships by parcel and must not freeze in transit or storage. Keep out of direct sun.
Note: RESIPOX W does not bridge moving cracks or substrate movement. Treat structural cracks first.
