MORTEX COLOR 2-N is the base coat of the MORTEX microcement system: a 5-component, fiber-reinforced micro-mortar. Mix with MORTEX BEALCRYL 2 at 11 lb (5 kg) of powder to 34 fl oz (1 L) of liquid. Never use water.
Coverage
About 27 sq ft per 11 lb (5 kg) at 5/64" thick (2.5 m² at 2 mm). For waterproofing, apply 2 coats of 1/16" (1.5 mm).
Colors
64 standard colors. Customize with BEAL COLOR pigments.
Drying between coats
8–24 hours depending on temperature and humidity.
MORTEX COLOR 2-N is a waterproof micro-mortar based on hydrated and airborne natural limes, high-performance clinkers and special additives. Mixed with MORTEX BEALCRYL 2, it forms an impermeable, low-tension coating with negligible cracking — for wet rooms, showers, kitchen countertops, floors, stairs and pool surrounds. Coverage: about 0.6 lb/sq ft for every 1/16" of thickness (1.8 kg/m² per mm). Apply 1/32"–1/16" (1–1.5 mm) per coat in 2 technical coats.

Before starting: apply at 5–30 °C, relative humidity 65–90%, substrate moisture below 3%. Avoid dehumidifiers and air conditioning from one week before application until 28 days after.
Cold-weather shipping: these products must remain above 6 °C. From November to March, contact us about protected shipping or Richmond warehouse pickup.
