Four days of hands-on BEAL training, from Mortex fundamentals through advanced decorative work, finishing with Bealstone terrazzo.

Day one · Basics of Mortex

An introduction to the Mortex system: how it's built, how it behaves, and how to apply it with confidence.

We'll cover the fundamentals of substrate prep, dosing and mixing, and basic application, protection, and maintenance. On the practice side, you'll learn the "a secco" and "a fresco" techniques and get hands-on with trowel finishing. You'll leave with your own sample plates.

Days two and three · Mortex Advanced (Walls, Deco, Substrates, Showers & Floors)

Two full days building on the fundamentals, focused on decorative work: vertical and horizontal application, floor and shower modules, and a range of finish effects, including rust, oxide, wood, stone, and smooth moiré.

By the end, you'll have applied Mortex across multiple surfaces and finishes, not just read about them.

Day four · Basics of Bealstone

An introduction to Bealstone, BEAL's terrazzo system: worksite prep, application, and sanding and polishing technique.

You'll practice sanding and polishing on both sample pieces and a floor module, and finish with the maintenance and cleanup process every job site needs.
